A 'Pokémon' Theme Park Is Coming to Universal Studios Japan
The attraction is described as a “revolutionary” immersive experience.
Universal Studios Japan and The Pokémon Company have joined forces to create a series of immersive experiences for fans to further explore the world of Pokémon. According to a press release, USJ will commence working on a “revolutionary” theme park dedicated to the popular franchise next year.
“The globally popular Pokémon characters combined with Universal’s innovative approach to creating authentic and one-of-a-kind theme park entertainment promise excitement for the entire family,” Universal Studios Japan’s president and CEO J.L. Bonnier said. “Our efforts to develop new guest experiences will continue to help reinvigorate the tourism market.”
Specific details on the upcoming theme park have yet to be announced. However, Tsunekazu Ishihara, president and CEO of The Pokémon Company, shared that the attraction will feature “world-class theme park technology.”
