Alber Elbaz Tribute Show to Return as Exhibition in Paris
A collaborative collection honoring the late designer.
Last month, the fashion world closed Paris Fashion Week with a heartwarming show honoring Alber Elbaz, who died due to COVID-19 in April. Celebrating the late designer’s legacy, Paris‘ Palais Galleria is bringing back the collection in an exhibition format.
The “Love Brings Love” runway featured 46 fashion designers ranging from Balenciaga and Louis Vuitton, to Y/Project and Elbaz’s very own AZ Factory, which all created looks inspired by the former Lanvin creative director. The upcoming exhibit will recreate the show, offering visitors the same experience by reproducing the order on the runway, music, lights and more.
“The Palais Galliera celebrates Alber Elbaz, one of its most dear collaborators. By reenacting this moving and unprecedented tribute by the fashion industry, we wish to honor his life and legacy and invite our visitors to engage in the designer’s joyful vision of fashion,” Palais Galleria’s director Miren Arzalluz shared in a statement.
The “Love Brings Love” exhibition will be open to the public from March 5 to July 10, 2022. Head over to Palais Galleria’s website for more information.
