BTS and Megan Thee Stallion Finally Join Forces To Perform "Butter" for the First Time

After a last minute change at the AMAs.

BTS and Megan Thee Stallion finally performed their hit song “Butter” as part of the K-pop group’s “Permission to Dance on Stage” series on Sunday night at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

Megan took fans by surprise when she popped up in the middle of the stage during her verse of the remixed track as Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook all danced behind her. Originally, BTS and Megan were set to join forces at the 2021 American Music Awards. However, due to a last minute change on the “Savage” rapper’s end, BTS ended up performing “Butter” without her.

At the time, Megan had taken to Twitter to explain why she wouldn’t be able to join the boyband on stage. “Hotties, I was so excited to go to the AMAs and perform with BTS, but due to an unexpected personal matter, I can no longer attend,” Megan wrote one day before the award show. “I’m so sad! I really can’t wait to hit the stage with my guys and perform #BTS_Butter real soon!”
