Netflix Reveals First Teaser and Premiere Date of 'Inventing Anna'

Based on the real-life con woman.

Netflix drops its first official teaser of Inventing Anna. 

The series is based on The Cut‘s 2018 essay How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People by Jessica Pressler, which is a deep analysis on the Russian-born German convicted fraudster. In the teaser, a journalist is seen trying to discover the con woman through the help sources. In real life, Delvey, born Anna Sorokin, was sentenced to four to 12 years in prison after being convicted in 2019 for stealing $200,000 USD from banks and businesses. In February, Delvey was released due to good behavior.

Delvey will be played by Julia Garner. Anna Chlumsky, Laverne Cox, Katie Lowes and Alexis Floyd will also star in the series produced by Shonda Rhimes. Watch the Inventing Anna teaser above and catch it premiering on Netflix on February 11, 2022.
