Rick Owens x Veja Reunite To Drop Vegan Sneakers
Sustainability meets avant garde.
Rick Owens and conscious footwear brand Veja partner for a fifth time on a footwear capsule collection. The drop includes both hiking and performance silhouettes, and will mark the final collaboration between the two boundary-pushing brands.
The Performance Runner is a take on Veja’s popular Marlin sneaker. Boasting a minimalist look, the sleek upper is made of 100% recycled polyester while the outsole is 65% bio-based, composed of 32% Amazonian rubber and 33% rice waste.
The Rick Owens x Veja Hiking Style features a chunky midsole made of 40% sugar cane. Vegan leather alternative C.W.L. takes center stage on the shoe’s upper, the unique fabrication is 100% cotton, layered with P.U. and ricinus oil.
Look out for the Rick Owens x Veja Hiking Style on November 4 and the Performance Runner on December 3.
