Christopher John Rogers drops his latest capsule, Collection 009, presenting vivid colors and playful textures for the Pre-Fall 2022 season.
Inspired by the determined individuality of his customers and the empowering effect beautifully designed clothes have on the wearer, Rogers created an assortment of garments made to celebrate life’s supposed imperfections.
Committed to fearless exploration, the designer infused his new line with a childlike innocence, elevating happy mistakes in the execution process. Rogers referenced the tactile nature of everyday objects transformed like crinkled plastic bags, reimagining these items as heavily pleated and textural fabrics.
Using his signature color palette, the collection is comprised of sensual bustiers juxtaposing dramatically full skirts. Voluminous dresses are speckled with floral patterns or outfitted with bold stripes. Complementing the feminine silhouettes are elegantly tailored suits in highly saturated shades of pink.
Sculptural headpieces steal the show, paired with shapely gowns that cascade over the body, creating a colorful balloon effect. Elsewhere, figure-flattering dresses arrive in shockingly bright shades of green to round out the slew of thoughtfully designed pieces.
