Doja Cat Drops Music Video for "Woman"

Starring Teyana Taylor, the visual is a celebration of women everywhere.

Pop star Doja Cat releases the music video for her hit song “Woman.” The cinematic video stars singer Teyana Taylor as an empress in an ancient Egypt-esque setting. Taylor summons Doja Cat, a beautiful siren, to help her keep her place on the throne, fighting against a male usurper.

The track is included on the Grammy-nominated album Planet Her, which features the infectious summer track “Kiss Me More” — Doja Cat’s collaboration with SZA.

Directed by child., who has shot music videos for Janelle Monáe and H.E.R., the visual for the female empowerment anthem captures the musical multi-hyphenate dancing in stunning sculptural headpieces and sultry beaded skirts.

Taking her women-led mission one step further, the eight-time Grammy-nominated singer partnered with Girls Who Code to create DojaCode, an interactive music video experience for the track, “Woman.” Fans can access exclusive content in her latest video by using code. The interactive experience was created in collaboration with Mojo Supermarket and developed by Active Theory.
