Hilary Duff returns to the small screen, starring in How I Met Your Father, which just dropped its first official trailer.
The sequel to the cult-favorite How I Met Your Mother is an updated love story in the modern age of romance. The sitcom follows Duff who plays the funny and loveable Sophie as she tries (and hilariously) fails to fall in love. In the sneak peek for the upcoming show, the heroine reveals that despite her terrible “87 Tinder dates,” she is determined to meet the father of her future children out in the wild world of dating apps.
If you squint, the comedy features a Sex and the City crossover — Kim Cattrall makes a much-awaited resurgence as the show’s narrator and the future version of Sophie.
Former The Secret Life of the American Teenager star Francia Raisa joins the cast as Sophie’s roommate, Valentina. Alongside Duff and Raisa are co-stars Chris Lowell as Jesse, Tom Ainsley as Charlie, Tien Tran as Ellen and Suraj Sharma as Sid.
