Addison Rae has surprised fans with a debut single, “Obsessed.” Launching Rae’s music career, the debut track and accompanying music video are just a teaser of what’s to come from the influencer.
Until now, Rae — who rose to fame on TikTok — kept her interest in music under wraps. The social media personality began working on “Obsessed,” along with several other tracks, in 2020. ““From the beginning, I wanted to make sure that I was writing my own music,” she told Vogue.
“Obsessed” is a catchy, upbeat anthem that puts an unexpected twist on traditional love songs. “You say you’re obsessed with me/So I took a second/And I said ‘Me too,’” Rae sings, advocating for self-love. In the song’s accompanying music video, Rae shows off the dance skills that made her TikTok-famous in the first place. Styled by Kyle Luu, the star performs in Mugler, LaQuan Smith and more.
