adidas Originals Decorates the Stan Smith With Iconic Disney Characters
Including Tinkerbell, Wall-E and more.
One of adidas Originals‘ most iconic sneakers gets the Disney treatment in the duo’s new collection of special-edition Stan Smiths. The pair have teamed up to apply beloved Disney characters — including Peter Pan‘s Tinkerbell, robot hero Wall-E and Mike Wazowski of Monsters, Inc. — to the signature shoe.
Paying homage to the mischievous fairy, Disney and adidas apply a neon green outline of Tinkerbell to a white leather Stan Smith accented with pastel ombré laces and a matching heel panel. A second Stan Smith is illustrated with several drawings of Wall-E at the lateral, while Mike Wazowski appears on a light green version of the sneaker featuring a slime-colored midsole. A Groot-themed shoe features a rubber cork midsole, and Hulk is represented on a black and green version. Lastly, a green Stan embossed with a crocodile-like texture references Rex from Toy Story.
The Disney x adidas Originals Stan Smith collection launches on March 29 at the adidas website.
