Paramount+'s 'iCarly' Revival Adds Two New Major Cast Members

Miranda Cosgrove, Nathan Kress and Jerry Trainor are set to reprise their original roles.

Production for Paramount+‘s iCarly revival has officially commenced in Los Angeles. According to Deadlinethe show is expected to premiere on the streaming service this summer.

Stars including Miranda Cosgrove, Nathan Kress and Jerry Trainor are set to reprise their roles. Unfortunately, we will not be seeing Jennette McCurdy in the upcoming reboot due to her resenting her acting career, which she recently revealed. Two new cast members will be joining the iCarly family: Laci Mosley and Jaidyn Triplett.

Comprised of 13 episodes, the show, set 10 years after the original, will follow the story of “Carly Shay (Cosgrove) and her friends navigating work, love and their family in their twenties.” Mosley will take the part of Harper, Carly’s roommate and best friend, while Triplett will play Millicent, “Freddie’s (Kress) snarky and social media-savvy stepdaughter.”

Originally created by Dan Schneider, iCarly centered on three best friends – Carly (Cosgvore), Freddie (Kress) and Sam (McCurdy) – who started a webcast in Carly’s home that became an overnight success. The revival is produced by Nickelodeon Studios and Awesomeness, while Cosgrove is serving as executive producer with Jerry Trainor and Alissa Vradenburg as producers.

Stay tuned while we wait for the official release date of the pilot. For those who have yet to catch up with iCarly, you can watch it on Netflix and Paramount+.
