teamLab To Open Immersive Art and Sauna Experience in Tokyo
A meditative space filled with digital art.
teamLab has unveiled an official look at its latest project – a combined art and sauna experience in Tokyo, Japan. The immersive space, titled “TikTok teamLab Reconnect,” is created in collaboration with the video-sharing social media platform.
The exhibition features a sauna trance, where visitors can jump in hot and cold baths amid an array of colorful lights. The show follows with an installation titled Levitation, which is lit with a floating sphere. The space also offers a resting area illuminated with digital flowers.
“Scientifically speaking, sauna trance is an exceptionally unique neurological state brought about by alternating hot and cold baths (repeated exposure to saunas, cold water, and rest),” teamLab explains in a press release. “When entering a sauna trance, the senses sharpen, the mind clears, the beauty of the surrounding world comes into focus, and what normally goes unnoticed can be experienced. Visitors go even deeper by entering the sauna, experiencing a sauna trance, and becoming immersed in the art.”
