Moons and Junes Debuts Its First Sustainable Swimwear Collection

Along with a community collaborative campaign titled, “What does a bikini body look like?”

Moons and Junes has tapped into swimwear for the first time, expanding beyond its usual lingerie offerings. Dubbed the “Dive In” collection, the range is comprised of a bikini set and a one-piece all made out of recycled plastic bottles.

The Brizo bikini top is crafted from high-quality double-layer fabrics that provide the wearer a snug fit, while the medium coverage Iris bikini bottom comes with tall hip cuts enclosed by a waistband. Elsewhere, the Medusa swimsuit boasts a tall neckline, a snug waist and adjustable straps for a customized fit.

In celebration of this launch, Moon and Junes has partnered with NØRGAARD PAA STRØGET to host an inclusive community collaborative campaign titled “What does a bikini body look like?” From May 7 to 8, the project invites the brand’s customers to participate in a photoshoot where you will receive a polaroid of yourself and the opportunity to have your image shared on the label’s website. Moons and Junes’ founder Agnete Bjerre-Madsen commented on the upcoming campaign and said:

“We know that the summer-is-coming rhetoric tries to convince people that they need ‘fixing.’ This is an incredibly toxic narrative that we’ve been told for too long. We hope this ‘community collaborative campaign’ can help tear up the bikini body ‘rule book’ in an attempt to encourage anyone to enjoy themselves freely this summer. Whoever you are; tall, short, old or not, cis or not – you’re invited to be a part of the campaign. Show us what your bikini body looks like!”

Take a look at what your photoshoot could look like above. Priced from $50.89 to $112.29 USD, Moons and Junes’ swimwear collection is now available to shop online.
