Based on Elizabeth Brundage‘s novel All Things Cease to Appear, Netflix‘s latest supernatural horror movie Things Heard & Seen tells the chilling tale of the Clare family, who move to a historic hamlet in the Hudson Valley from Manhattan. Upon settling in their new home, Catherine (Amanda Seyfried) encounters a sinister spiritual presence, which her daughter Franny (Ana Sophia Heger) also senses in her room late at night through a series of paranormal episodes. Meanwhile, her skeptical husband George (James Norton) brushes off Catherine’s concerns, causing her not to share her other discoveries. Eventually, Catherine learns more about the house’s previous owners and the link between its disturbing history with the dark forces lurking around the halls.

Relocating to Roosevelt Island, Dahlia and Ceci now live in an apartment in a dilapidated complex where Dahlia discovers a strange leak from the ceiling. Little does Dahlia know that it is being caused by the ghost of a former resident of their building.
Gerald’s Game (2017)
Based on Stephen King’s novel of the same title, Gerald’s Game stars Carla Gugino and Bruce Greenwood as Jessie and Gerald, a married couple who are on holiday at an isolated lake house in Fairhope, Alabama. After a disturbing kinky game during sex followed by a heated argument, Gerald dies from a heart attack, leaving Jessie alone handcuffed to the bed. While trying to figure out how to escape, Jessie starts to hear voices and see strange figures.

On top of that, Sarah is convinced she is being haunted by the souls killed by the guns made by her husband’s company. After inheriting the Winchester fortune from her late husband, who was a famed gun manufacturer, Sarah decides to build a mansion in San Jose, California, where she wants to keep the evil spirits.
