Nike Drops Eco-Friendly Air Force 1 Made Using "Himalayan Rhubarb"
Arriving as part of the “Plant Dye” pack.
Furthering its commitment to sustainability, Nike has now dropped a new iteration of the Air Force 1 as part of its eco-friendly “Plant Dye” collection. Dubbed “Himalayan Rhubarb,” the low-cut kicks are designed to celebrate Mother Nature with low-impact fabrics and natural dyes.
The OG silhouette comes with a crisp white base on the upper and midsole, while the Swoosh serves contrast in a sandy beige hue, which is achieved through the use of rhubarb extract grown from the Himalayan mountains. The shade extends to the heel tab that features the shoe’s name stamped in white. The nature-focused theme is further highlighted on the tongue, donning leafy motifs embroidered in various shades of green.
