Urban Decay Celebrates Prince's Legacy With 'Purple Rain'-Inspired Makeup Collection

Honoring the iconic artist’s style and unapologetic self-expression.

Urban Decay has partnered with the Prince estate to launch a special makeup collection honoring the late musician’s legacy. Encapsulating Prince’s unabashed style and self-expression, the range offers ways to re-create his signature smokey-eyed look with two eyeshadow palettes, kohl eyeliners, liquid highlighter and a setting powder.

Both palettes are decorated with an illustration of Prince and feature his favorite color, Purple, at the forefront. Named after the artist’s hit songs, shades range from ultraviolet “Groovy Potential” to metallic pink “Raspberry Beret” to lavender “Get Yo Groove On.” Prince’s love symbol is embossed on two eyeliner pencils, one in matte black and the other in white. A universally flattering liquid highlighter adds subtle glow to the cheekbones, while a waterproof setting powder ensures your look stays in place, whether you’re performing on Zoom or the stage. Rounding out the collection, the Multitasker makeup brush can be used on the face and body.

The Prince x Urban Decay collection will release on May 27 at Urban Decay’s website.
