Dior Taps J-Pop Star Tomohisa Yamashita as Beauty Ambassador
The brand’s decision comes as more men begin to dabble in makeup and skincare.
Dior Beauty has found a new ambassador: Japanese singer, actor and TV host Tomohisa Yamashita. The entertainer is an unusual choice for the house, which has historically chosen women to represent the brand.
“I have always admired Dior for its glowing beauty and it is a great honor to be assigned as the ambassador,” Yamashita said in a statement. “I am more than sure that I will be learning and discovering the real meaning of beauty both from the inside and out along this great journey with Dior.” His appointment comes as an increasing number of beauty brands targets male customers, who are beginning to embrace self-care products.
Yamashita will serve as a representative for Dior Beauty’s makeup, fragrance and skincare lines.
