New York retailer Extra Butter and adidas Golf have teamed up to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the ’90s film Happy Gilmore. The range, designed for both on and off the fairway, features apparel, footwear, accessories and beyond. Focusing on the movie’s three main characters Chubbs (Carl Weathers), Shooter (Christopher McDonald) and Happy (Adam Sandler), the collection sparks major nostalgia with McDonald appearing in the accompanying campaign.
The “Chubbs” capsule boasts a pastel color palette with argyle patterns taking over tees, shorts, hats and more. Each piece dons a graphic of Chubbs teaching Happy how to swing the golf club, along with his signature quote, “It’s all in the hips,” hidden throughout. The pack also includes the ZG21 shoe, which boasts a bone-white tone overall.
In the “Shooter” line, Happy’s nemesis is highlighted with golden hues on caps and a jacket with the character’s iconic shooting hand sign taking center stage. The motif is also found on the mustard yellow Ultraboost 1.0 crafted with suede and PRIMEKNIT materials. Finally, the “Happy” range features the adilette Boost slide in a green theme, which is further seen on a cooler bag, graphic tees, hats and socks.
Further adding to the collection, Extra Butter has joined forces with brands Phat Scooters, Seamus Golf, Vice Golf and Asher Golf for co-branded golf headcovers, an electric scooter, golf balls and more.
