Take a First Look at Balenciaga's Newest Sneaker, the X-Pander
The label’s latest statement shoe arrives in a handful of colorways.
Balenciaga is gearing up for summer with the release of a brand new sneaker, the X-Pander. The new shoe joins staples like the chunky Triple-S and Track silhouettes and is another statement piece from the house.
The athletic silhouette is inspired by a classic runner, mounted on an exposed, springy structure, taking bouncing soles to a whole new level. With comfort and style in mind, the sneaker sees a 40mm arch hovering over a momentum propelling hinge, creating the illusion of an in-motion shoe. White, grey, black, pink and yellow hues dress a lightweight and durable material that forms motion-like patterns over a sleek lace-up, while a stone-washing process leaves the overall design with a pre-worn appearance, creating the perfect paired-down look. The silhouette is adorned with several logos, such as “B.,” “X-Pander” and “Balenciaga,” and is rounded off with an embroidered shoe size on the back exterior.
