These Nike Dunk Mids Are Inspired by Milk Cartons
Strawberry or chocolate – take your pick.
Nike has joined forces with retailer Social Status to rework the Dunk Mid with milk carton-inspired motifs. The silhouette arrives as part of a larger collection dedicated to the free lunches provided to children in underserved communities, according to early reports.
The first pair features strawberry milk-like details throughout, such as the thick TPU gel Swoosh on the sides. The standout logo is accompanied by soft pink hues on the leather and nubuck overlays, while a mini Swoosh appears on the mudguard. On the medials, you’ll find the “ingredients” used to make the shoe, including “Nike Sportswear,” “Social Status,” “Milky TPU Gel Swoosh” and more. The milk carton-inspired motifs continue on the collar, which indicates to sell the shoe by Fall 2021.
Similar details are found on the second pair but in a chocolate brown color palette. The mudguard, heel and eyestays feature different hues of brown, contrasting the milky pink Swoosh on each side. Rounding out the design is Social Status x Nike’s branding on the tongue tag and footbed, while the look is accentuated with blue outsoles.
