Show Off Your Moves in BTS' Upcoming "Permission to Dance" Challenge

Launching on YouTube Shorts.

Celebrating the success of their latest single “Permission to Dance,” BTS is launching a social media challenge to interact with K-pop fans worldwide. Arriving in partnership with YouTube, the dance challenge is a first for the video platform’s Shorts feature, which recently began its global expansion.

Starting July 23, anyone can take part by sharing a 15-second video from YouTube’s mobile app. All you have to include in the clip are the key dance moves for “Permission to Dance” – the “International Sign” gestures that symbolize joy, dance and peace. Once the challenge ends on August 14, BTS members Jin, V, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin and Jungkook will choose some of their favorites to feature in a compilation video. Make sure to use the hashtags #PermissiontoDance and #Shorts for a chance to appear in the film.

“Just as ‘Permission to Dance’ sends the message that you don’t have to ask anyone for permission to dance, we hope that we can bring people all over the world together to dance along with us, free of any limits or constraint,” BIGHIT MUSIC’s General Manager Shing Young Jae commented on the initiative.
