The Air Jordan 4 "Zen Master" Gets a Release Date

A tie-dye dream.

UPDATE (January 6, 2022): The Air Jordan 4 “Zen Master” has received a release date. The tie-dye sneaker inspired by Michael Jordan‘s coach from 1990- 1998 Phil Jackson, will release March 19 via Nike, SNKRS and select Jordan stockists.

ORIGINAL STORY: (JANUARY 3, 2022): One of the standouts from Jordan Brand’s Spring 2022 lineup, the tie-dye Air Jordan 4 “Zen Master” finally has an official release date as well as on-foot images courtesy of Yankee Kicks.

The AJ4 “Zen Master” is inspired by legendary coach Phil Jackson, who led Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls during their golden era from 1989 to 1998. Jackson incorporated spiritual elements into his coaching style, drawing from Native American teachings and Buddhist principles, earning him the nickname “Zen Master.”

Jackson’s mindfulness sets the stage for this vivid release. The upper comes drenched in an “Amethyst Wave” print with black details on the tongue, laces, netting, midsole and laces. The shoe’s “wings,” forefoot eyelets and heel counter are done in a semi-translucent TPU, allowing the tie-dye to take center stage.

The Air Jordan 4 “Zen Master” is set to drop on March 19 via Nike, SNKRS and select retailers with a $210 USD price tag.
