Pete Davidson Thanks Bob Saget for Looking Out for Him in Heartfelt Tribute
The late ‘Full House’ star helped the ‘SNL’ comedian with his mental health.
Pete Davidson paid tribute to Bob Saget after his death, revealing how the late actor-slash-comedian helped him with his mental health.
The Saturday Night Live star had his friend and SNL writer Dave Sirus upload the message to his personal Instagram account. “I don’t have social media, so I asked Dave if he could post this for me,” Davidson began. “Just wanted you guys to know that Bob Saget was one of the nicest men on the planet.”
The King of Staten Island actor went on to explain how Saget positively impacted his life. “When I was younger, and several times throughout our friendship, he helped me get through some rough mental health stuff,” Davidson continued. “He stayed on the phone with my mom for hours trying to help in anyway he can — connecting us with doctors and new things we can try. He would check in on me and make sure I was OK. I love you, Bob. It was an honor to know you. Thank you for your kindness and friendship. My condolences to the family.”
Saget died at age 65. He was found at the Orlando Ritz-Carlton hotel on Sunday and pronounced dead at the scene.
