Song Ji-a Apologizes For Wearing Fake Designer Goods on 'Single's Inferno'
The breakout star wore brands like Chanel and Dior with subtle discrepancies.
Breakout star Song Ji-a — a contestant on Netflix‘s latest reality dating show from South Korea, Single’s Inferno – has taken to Instagram to issue an apology for wearing fake designer items on the series.
For those who have seen the show, Song dressed to impress with her designer clothes and accessories, including a knit Chanel logo top, a Marine Serre dress, a Dior top and Van Cleef & Arpels earrings. However, fans were quick to notice the subtle discrepancies in Song’s outfits like the colors and patterns.
Earlier this week, Song finally addressed the comments and confirmed that she did in fact wear counterfeit designer products. ”Some of the comments currently being made about the fake designer products I wore on social media and on Single’s Inferno are true. I’m really sorry,” Song wrote in her letter. “I apologize once again for any situation caused by the infringement of the designers’ creations and ignorance of copyright. As a person with a dream of launching a brand, I will seriously recognize the controversy and reflect deeply.”
Sticking to her promise of “[living] more responsibly in the future,” Song has now deleted or archived all her posts that feature fake luxury goods.
