Craig Green and adidas Originals Announce CG SCUBA STAN

The collaboration follows the pair’s AW21 CG SCUBA PHORMAR silhouette.

adidas Originals and Craig Green have once again joined forces to create the CG SCUBA STAN, the follow-up silhouette to the pair’s CG SCUBA PHORMAR which was first introduced for Fall/Winter 2021.

The new shoe boasts a sole fully designed by the celebrated British designer, offering a contemporary balance between utilitarian design and adidas’ aesthetic. Developed with a classic Strobel construction, the new silhouette merges a unique scuba outsole with the signature Stan Smith leather upper.

In line with the pair’s last collaboration, the new Stan features a wraparound tension cord – a now prominent part of Green’s design aesthetic – to connect the shoe’s upper with the Scuba sole. The CG SCUBA STAN is set to launch in three clean colorways of black and beige, alongside adidas’ signature white and green.

In celebration of the new shoe, adidas and Craig Green teamed up with Dan Tobin Smith for a visceral campaign bringing the futuristic silhouette to life. Emphasizing the shoe’s sculptural form, the campaign takes cues from the adidas Originals Trefoil logo, offering a fusion between the brand’s past and future.

The adidas Originals and Craig Green CG Scuba Stan will be available through adidas CONFIRMED and select retailers from October 31.
