Angelina Jolie States Brad Pitt "Choked" and "Struck" Children in Court Documents

The ‘Maleficent’ actor detailed abuse allegations against her ex-husband.

Angelina Jolie detailed abuse allegations against her ex-husband Brad Pitt in recent court documents, which were filed as part of a legal battle over a winery the former couple once owned together. According to The New York Times, Jolie stated in the papers that there was one incident that happened on a private plane in 2016, which eventually led to their divorce.

As written in the documents, in September 2016, Pitt, Jolie and their six children were flying from France to California when the abuse happened. Pitt allegedly “choked one of the children and struck another in the face” and “grabbed Jolie by the head and shook her,” further noting that at one point he “poured beer on Jolie; at another, he poured beer and red wine on the children.” Days following the occurrence, Jolie filed for divorce after five years of marriage.

Before the aforementioned flight, Pitt reportedly “pulled” Jolie to the back of the plane into a bathroom, where “Pitt grabbed Jolie by the head and shook her, and then grabbed her shoulders and shook her again before pushing her into the bathroom wall.” The countersuit further read, “When one of the children verbally defended Jolie, Pitt lunged at his own child and Jolie grabbed him from behind to stop him. To get Jolie off his back, Pitt threw himself backwards into the airplane’s seats injuring Jolie’s back and elbow. The children rushed in and all bravely tried to protect each other.” Some of the children “pleaded with Pitt to stop” and were “all frightened.”

The countersuit comes after Pitt reportedly demanded Jolie to sign a “nondisclosure agreement that would have contractually prohibited her from speaking outside of court about Pitt’s physical and emotional abuse of her and their children.” In response to the allegations, a representative for Pitt has stated that the accusations are “completely untrue.”
