Blink-182's Classic Lineup Announce Reunion Tour and New Music
They’re coming.
Blink-182 are coming back. The band, which now consists of Travis Barker, Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge, are embarking on an international tour. Additionally, they’re releasing new music.
“We’re coming. Tour’s coming. Album’s coming. Tom’s coming. Tickets on sale Monday. New song ‘EDGING’ out Friday,” read a caption on their official Instagram account.
For the announcement, the band shared a punny video in which random people rave about Blink-182 coming. “We would do anything to make them come,” said one woman.
“Edging” will be the first song Barker, Hoppus and DeLonge release in over a decade. In 2005, they announced a hiatus. Then, in 2009, much similar to now, they announced a reunion tour and dropped new music. However, in 2015, DeLonge left the band to focus on his own music and study UFOs; he executive produced History Channel’s Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation. As a result, the band replaced DeLonge with Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba and released two albums with him — 2016’s California and 2019’s Nine.
Each member has focused on their own personal lives and pursuits, including Barker, who has collaborated with several artists over the years. Hoppus revealed he had cancer in 2021; however, he’s now cancer-free.
Tickets for Blink-182’s world tour go on sale on October 17 starting at 10 a.m. local time on Ticketmaster.
