Selena Gomez Opens up About Her Mental Health Struggles in the New 'My Mind & Me' Trailer
“I don’t want to be like super famous,” she tearfully says.
UPDATE (October 11, 2022): Selena Gomez has shared the official trailer for My Mind & Me, her upcoming documentary.
In the trailer, the singer-slash-actor openly talks about the difficulties she’s faced with fame, her mental health and what’s kept her going through the struggles. “I don’t want to be like super famous, but I do know that if I’m here I have to use that for good,” she says while wiping her own tears.
The forthcoming project documents Gomez’s life over a span of six years, which touches on her lupus diagnosis, personal relationships and more.
My Mind & Me will be available on Apple TV+ starting November 4. Watch the official trailer above.
ORIGINAL (September 20, 2022): Selena Gomez has released the first official teaser trailer for her upcoming Apple TV+ documentary, My Mind & Me.
The teaser features clips of Gomez experiencing all kinds of emotions: happy, sad, excited, etc. Though the teaser is only a few seconds long, it’s clear the Only Murders in the Building actor will give an inside look into her private world.
Gomez shared the clip on Instagram with the following caption: “My Mind & Me. We don’t get along sometimes and it gets hard to breathe … But I wouldn’t change my life.”
According to a previous press release, the project will focus on Gomez’s achievements as well as her personal challenges. “After years in the limelight, Selena Gomez achieves unimaginable stardom. But just as she reaches a new peak, an unexpected turn pulls her into darkness,” reads a statement. “This uniquely raw and intimate documentary spans her six-year journey into a new light.”
