UPDATE (October 7, 2022): Netflix has released the trailer for the upcoming holiday movie Falling for Christmas, starring Lindsay Lohan and Chord Overstreet.

The official synopsis reads as follows: “A newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress (Lohan) gets into a skiing accident, suffers from total amnesia, and finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner (Overstreet) and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas.”

The holiday film is Lohan’s first lead role in nearly a decade, making this movie a significant one in her career.

Falling for Christmas premieres on Netflix on November 10. Watch the official trailer above.

ORIGINAL STORY (October 4, 2022): Lindsay Lohan is back. The actor is starring in the upcoming Netflix holiday movie Falling for Christmas, which she promoted on social media on what’s basically considered Mean Girls day.

“It’s October 3rd,” she wrote on Instagram. “Now mark your calendars for November 10th.” If you don’t recall, October 3rd is the day Cady Heron (Lohan) asks Aaron Samuels (Jonathan Bennett) what day it is in the iconic 2004 chick flick.

Falling for Christmas will be the first film Lohan has a lead role in since 2013’s The Canyons. However, she had a supporting role in 2019’s Among the Shadows.

She recently told The Hollywood Reporter that getting back to acting is “like riding a bicycle.”

Lohan added, “It’s just in me. It’s a part of me. Doing films, playing a character, it brings me so much joy to be able to share a story with people. To take people on that journey with me is such a blessing.”
