Samsung Teases Upcoming Maison Margiela Collaboration
Reinterpreting the iconic Galaxy Z Flip 4.
Samsung is giving its trailblazing Galaxy Z Flip silhouette a minimal makeover with a special, upcoming collaboration alongside luxury fashion house Maison Margiela. In 2020, the tech giant tapped Thom Browne for a limited-edition phone, followed by an exclusive Galaxy Watch crossover with Maison Kitsuné in 2021.
The forthcoming collaboration with the avant-garde French label has recently been teased on Samsung’s Instagram — the enigmatic post caption read, “A beautiful juxtaposition of state-of-the-art technology and haute couture.” Maison Margiela, known for its minimal and deconstructive aesthetic, is expected to reinterpret Samsung’s iconic flip phone silhouette through its signature iconography.
In the most recent teaser on Samsung’s official website, the company previewed a silhouette of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 featuring a white, pulp-paper texture emblazoned with Maison Margiela’s iconic four stitches and emblematic numeric coding ring. For fans of Maison Margiela and the Galaxy Z Flip phone, this collaboration is definitely one to watch out for.
A release date is yet to be confirmed, so stay tuned for official release details as they become confirmed.
