Savage X Fenty Launches Sportswear With Adam Selman as Executive Design Director

Rihanna‘s Savage X Fenty is entering a new category, launching its first-ever sportswear line helmed by Adam Selman as Executive Design Director.

The announcement comes shortly after the teaser of the much anticipated Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 4. Serving as an extension of the lingerie brand, the inaugural drop features eye-catching activewear pieces focusing on functionality, ranging from low and medium-impact bras to high-waisted leggings, jumpsuits and a bodysuit.

Designed to be worn at the gym, at home and everywhere in between, the Savage X Fenty Sport line is the latest partnership between Riri and Selman, who have previously worked together on iconic fashion moments including the star’s 2014 CFDA Awards dress. Back in 2020, Savage X Fenty also worked with the designer on a 19-piece lingerie collection for Valentine’s Day.

“We wanted to push the boundaries with how we define sport and sportswear and there is no one I’d rather do that with than Adam. We think of sport as how you move through your life. I want people to feel sexy, carefree and powerful when they put these pieces on and Adam is the perfect designer to carry out that vision,” Rihanna shared in a press release. Selman added, “Rihanna and I have a rich history of working together — when I learned about the opportunity at Savage X Fenty, I knew I wanted to play a role in the new activewear category. We have such synergy creating together. I have such respect for her vision and for what the entire Savage X Fenty team has built, and I am thrilled to be a part of the next chapter.”

The sportswear line takes inspiration from Savage X Fenty’s sultry lingerie and is constructed with premium, breathable materials. Standouts include the Hotline High Waist Leggings and Lineup High Waist Pocket Leggings, which are equipped with a laminated waistband for extra comfort and support. Meanwhile, the Pin Up High Waist Legging is highlighted with fishnet and garter detailing. The collection is complete with the Peak Performance High Waist Leggings, which feature sheer detailing down the front, side and back.

In celebration of the launch, the brand has tapped Precious Lee, Avani Gregg, ballerina Elsa Stallings, martial artist Nelita Villezon, model Joanna Pauline and rollerskater Ayasha for the campaign.

See the collection above. Offered in sizes XS to 4X and priced from $39.95 to $109.95 USD, Savage X Fenty’s sportswear line launches on November 9. Xtra VIP members will receive earlier access on November 1 on the brand’s website and in retail stores.
