One Direction's "Story of My Life" Is Nominated for a 2022 American Music Award
Is it 2013 again?
The American Music Awards are bringing back the good old days with their Fan Favorite category. The AMAs have taken to Twitter to share their nominees, which include tracks by One Direction, Twenty One Pilots, Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Måneskin, Billie Eilish and BTS.
Recently, the AMAS shared their nominees for Round One, which consisted of 16 different artists. After voting, that selection was narrowed down to the eight artists listed above for Round Two.
One Direction’s nominated track, “Story of My Life,” is the oldest song to currently be in the running in that category. Naturally, this has sent fans on social media into a frenzy as the single was released in 2013. Additionally, it was a surprise to see the group nominated despite it has been six years since their hiatus.
