Aaron Carter's Twin Sister Angel Shares Details of Their Last Conversation Before His Death
“I begged, once again, for him to let us help,” she explained.
It’s been over a month since Aaron Carter tragically died, and on what would’ve been his 35th birthday, his twin sister, Angel Conrad, shared a tribute to him.
Angel, who previously dedicated an Instagram post to Aaron after he was found dead in his bathroom on November 5, penned a personal message in honor of their birthday, which they share. She posted photos of their childhood and offered insight on their relationship as well as their last conversation.
In addition to Aaron and Angel, the Carter siblings are made up of Nick Carter, and two more sisters, BJ and Leslie, who died of an overdose in 2012 at the age of 25. Angel spoke of how the deaths of Leslie and Aaron have affected her.
“I want to start by sharing how much I appreciate all the birthday wishes,” Angel began in her IG caption. “While today is incredibly tough, I am overwhelmed by your love and support … Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
She continued, “Almost 11 years ago, I lost my sister, Leslie. I remember feeling broken, confused and I questioned how I was going to continue on without her in my life … And now, over a decade later, I am forced to once again deal with the extreme grief of the death of a sibling. This time, it’s my beloved twin, Aaron. We had an indescribable bond … and now … he is gone.”
Angel added, “With Aaron, however, we had tried everything. In fact, I spoke with him two days before he passed, and I begged, once again, for him to let us help. I did not know that would be the last time that I would ever hear his voice. And now, I sit here on our birthday, trying to navigate this unimaginable loss because of untreated mental illness and the addiction that it led to.”
Angel went on and explained that “Aaron dying was the worst day of my life.”
To honor Aaron and help others with mental health issues, her family and friends are planning a benefit concert.
