
Former Child and Teen Star Aaron Carter Dies at Age 34
The singer reportedly drowned in his bathtub.
Aaron Carter died on Saturday, November 5. The singer was found dead in his Lancaster, CA home.
According to TMZ, Carter was found in his bathroom. At 11 a.m., a 911 call was made claiming “that a male had drowned in the tub.” Additionally, law enforcement officials have confirmed that a death occurred in the vicinity.
Carter rose to fame as a child entertainer in the late ’90s after he opened for the Backstreet Boys on a 1997 tour. He was younger brother to Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter.
That same year, Carter released a self-titled debut album, which helped him reach early stardom. In addition to music, he dabbled into acting; he made a memorable appearance on Lizzie McGuire in which he was featured in a holiday episode performing his hit “I Want Candy” off Aaron’s Party (Come and Get It) released in 2000. He also starred in the Broadway play Seussical the Musical playing Jojo the Who.
Carter had an E! reality show with his family called House of Carters, which aired in 2006. Other TV credits include Dancing With the Stars and Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off.
As for music, Carter’s last album was Love, released in 2018.
