UPDATE: Here's a Look at a Rare and Unreleased KAWS x Air Jordan 1 Low Sample
English Sole will pay $10,000 USD to anyone who can prove the pair is inauthentic.
English Sole, the online boutique with the world’s largest rare sneaker selection, has unveiled a closer look at a Jordan x KAWS collaboration that sadly never ended up taking place. With only eight pairs in existence, the KAWS x Air Jordan 1 Low sneaker was reportedly sampled in 2016, an entire year before the Air Jordan 4 Retro KAWS officially dropped.
The exclusive silhouette sees an unfussy white look, with a subtle “XX” logo in place of a classic Nike Swoosh and a premium leather treatment (tongue tag included). The pair is also equipped with a silk suede insole lined by the American artist and designer himself, potentially using parts from counterfeit pairs. KAWS confirmed the pairs were designed low profile on purpose so he could wear them as part of his daily uniform.
Unfortunately, the KAWS x Air Jordan 1 Lows are nowhere to be found online to cop, but you can take a closer look at the rare piece in the image gallery above. English Sole stated they would pay $10,000 USD to anyone who could prove the pair is inauthentic.
In other footwear news, Stussy x Nike Air Penny 2 receives an official release date.
