Netflix's 'All of Us Are Dead' Could Be Renewed for Season 2

The director of the buzzy Korean zombie series is optimistic about a new installment.

All of Us Are Dead, the latest Korean zombie series to take over Netflix, could potentially return for a second season.

The TV show, which ranked first on the streaming platform’s Global Top 10 list upon its premiere, follows the story of a group of high school students who are stranded on campus as an apocalypse breaks out. Throughout the 12 episodes, the characters depend on one another to survive and be rescued by authorities.

The series’ director Lee Jae-kyu shared that there aren’t any concrete plans for a second installment at the moment. However, he stated that “it would be great if we could do a second season.” He added that it could be possible if the show receives enough love and attention. Lee further pointed out: “The story was written with a second season in mind, so if it were to happen, there would be more interesting stories.” He hinted Season 2 could be more of a “zombie survival” story, whereas Season 1 focused on the survival of uninfected humans.

Stay tuned as we learn more.
