The Best Street Style Looks From Copenhagen Fashion Week FW22
Show attendees turned out looks in bright colors, fun faux fur and playful knits.
The fashion crowd at Copenhagen Fashion Week seemed to have more fun getting dressed than everyone else. At the just-wrapped four-day event, show attendees braved the near-freezing, rainy weather wearing vibrant colored and expertly layered outfits, banishing the winter blues in bright and bold style.
A master of mixing and matching contrasting aesthetics, style influencer Emili Sindlev paired an oversized, bumblebee yellow varsity jacket and baggy cargo pants with girly pumps by Amina Muaddi. Easily one of the best dressed of the week, Vogue Scandinavia editor of diversity and inclusion Mona M. Ali repped some of the region’s most popular brands, styling a fluorescent pink leather trench by REMAIN Birger Christensen with Stand Studio‘s signature faux fur bucket hat. Perhaps inspired by the upcoming Valentine’s Day, Danish street style star Pernille Teisbaek opted for a pair of blush pink trousers, offsetting the statement piece with a black, cropped puffer vest by Prada.
Matrix-esque leather coats and futuristic ski sunglasses continued to dominate the streets, while whimsical and maximalist “clowncore” items — from a bulbous dress and a ruffled jacket, to a teddy bear-shaped bag and artist Lotta Lavanti‘s knit cowboy hat — were also plentiful. With the rise of vintage fashion, many looked to pre-loved items, whether it be a Dior Rasta Saddle Bag or a Louis Vuitton Multicolore monogram purse, to accessorize their looks. It’s safe to say that style enthusiasts still can’t get enough of Y2K fashion in 2022.
