Havaianas Is Taking Its Flip Flop to New Heights, Literally
Unveiled during Copenhagen Fashion Week, the classic silhouette gets a kitten heel twist.
Havaianas is stepping into a new era, literally. Debuting at Copenhagen Fashion Week, the Brazilian footwear brand unveiled its new Kitten Heel silhouette, marking a fashion-forward evolution of its signature flip flop.
The style made its runway debut during Studio Constance’s Spring/Summer 2027 show, appearing across 25 looks alongside classic Havaianas designs. Blending the label’s laid-back beachy roots with Studio Constance’s minimalist Scandinavian aesthetic, the collaboration reimagined the humble flip flop as a contemporary fashion staple.
The Kitten Heel retains Havaianas’ iconic toe-post construction, updating it with a sculptural toe cap and a low asymmetric heel with an elliptical shape. Available in black, off-white and green, the design also features the brand’s signature rubber insole, preserving the comfort and DNA that made Havaianas a global favorite.
Off the runway, the silhouette has quickly become a Copenhagen Fashion Week street style standout. Creators including Emili Sindlev and Livia Nunes were spotted wearing the design, with Nunes even riding a custom Havaianas bicycle fitted with Kitten Heel pedals.
To celebrate the launch, Havaianas hosted an immersive takeover at Copenhagen Harbour’s Green Island. Titled “From Sea Level to New Heights,” the event featured Brazilian music, product installations and a floating customization experience with jewelry designer Alan Crocetti, cementing the Kitten Heel as the brand’s latest contemporary icon.
This may be a controversial one, but head to the brand’s website for more updates.
