Prada Delivers Refined Whimsy for FW22 Womenswear Collection
Featuring romantic sheer slips and bright pink trench coats for a subtly feminine fall.
Inspired by our collective return to what we formerly knew as “life,” Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons celebrated and amplified what makes the simple special with Prada’s Fall/Winter 2022 collection. Opening the line with model Kaia Gerber, the two creative minds honored the famous faces and women who have made the brand, as Euphoria’s Hunter Schafer and Kendall Jenner made appearances on the catwalk.
The carefully considered collection transforms Prada’s signature discreetly elegant aesthetic by adorning luxuriously oversized blazers with dazzling chains and playful feathers to the sleeves and hems of otherwise pared back wool coats. Referencing the simple shirt and skirt combination, the fashion house showcases the outfit in several exciting iterations as the latest line is comprised of airy sparkling slips accented with pops of bright sequined patterns. Meanwhile, shimmering flower brocade bomber jackets and color-blocked skirts divided by satin fuchsia strips and delicately embroidered mesh enliven the essential garments. Standouts include a sumptuous mocha leather jacket outfitted with peach feathers around the collar, while a vivid pink trench coat served as the statement-making piece of the season.
