Donatella Versace Opens Up About Britney Spears: "She Went Through Hell and Back"
The two recently reunited after 15 years.
Donatella Versace is sharing her thoughts on Britney Spears after the pair recently hung out for the first time in nearly two decades.
“I went to see Britney because I always care about her,” the fashion designer recently told Entertainment Tonight. “The last time she was in Milan like 15 years ago, so I brought a few pictures to show to her. She was so moved.”
Spears took to Instagram to document the visit, which Versace noted that Spears was in “great spirits” during, adding she’s a “special girl” with “a good heart.”
Versace got candid about the singer’s nearly 14-year-long conservatorship, which concluded in November 2021. “She went through hell and back,” she said. “I cannot imagine what she went through.”
Additionally, the Italian mogul commented on Spears’ relationship with her fiancé, Sam Asghari, whom she got engaged to this past September after almost five years of dating.
“I like very much Sam, the boyfriend,” Versace revealed. “A real nice person.”
A few days before Spears’ conservatorship was terminated, she revealed Versace is designing her wedding dress. When Versace was asked if she had anything to share about the couple’s upcoming nuptials, she responded, “Absolutely nothing.”
