MAC Cosmetics Drops Its First-Ever NFTs With the Keith Haring Foundation

Digital collectibles that aim to support HIV/AIDS organizations.

MAC Cosmetics is foraying into the metaverse with its first-ever NFT collection created in partnership with the Keith Haring Foundation.

Arriving as part of the beauty brand’s Viva Glam line, the launch celebrates the iconic works of the late artist while aiming to support HIV/AIDS organizations for National Youth HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (April 10).

The NFT collection features three visuals of the MAC Viva Glam lipstick adorned with Keith Haring’s artworks. Each piece is offered at different rarity levels, making NFTs accessible to a larger community. “Red” is classified as Rare, with up to 5,000 minted on demand, while “Blue” is Exclusive and is limited to 250 pieces. “Yellow” is considered an Icon and is limited to 25 pieces only. For those who don’t have a cryptocurrency wallet, MAC is making the NFTs widely available by accepting credit card transactions.

Take a sneak peek at “Red” ($25 USD), “Blue” ($150 USD) and “Yellow” ($1,000 USD) above. All primary sales from the collection, now available online, will go towards the MAC Viva Glam Fund to support organizations fighting for equal rights, while 2.5% of secondary sales will be donated to the Keith Haring Foundation.
