UAE-based womenswear label NIILI‘s Spring/Summer 2022 collection includes key wardrobe essentials that can be mixed and matched for any occasion. Inclusive of 13 looks in addition to a selection of one-off, unique regenerated crochet dresses, the collection, created with a season-less approach to fashion, comprises of a variety of shirt-dresses, trousers, blouses and dresses.
NIILI continues to celebrate the hidden gems of the UAE’s culture and heritage with this collection, tastefully incorporating patterns and fabrics symbolic of the region’s heritage, such as mother-of-pearl prints, geometric patterns, subtle falcon print pieces and handcrafted crochet. The fabrics are sustainably sourced, with past garments and fabrics hand-picked, up-cycled and given a second life. Natural, handcrafted fabrics combined with loose silhouettes ensure each piece is made with comfort and breathability in mind, suitable for and wearable by the modern woman.
A sublime, varied color palette forms the timeless collection, combining vibrant pastels with deep, bold hues. Natural tones of green, off-white and light brown symbolize the brand’s innate admiration and respect for the environment, united with bold pops of deep red and sea blue, bringing life to the intricate detailing of the prints and emphasizing the theatrical and unique drape of each style.
“We are forever inspired by the Arabian peninsula, this is showcased through the prints, fabrics, and silhouettes used in each collection,” Khaled al Zaabi and Paula Quetglas Llop, co-founders of NIILI said in a press release.
