Peachy Den Drops Y2K-Inspired Top of the Pops Collection
For all the girls who love a little top and big pants combo.
Cult-favorite U.K. label Peachy Den is traveling back in time to the early ’90s and 2000s with its latest launch, Top of the Pops. The new collection is inspired by the infectious performances of Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera on the iconic British music chart TV show of the same name.
Founder Isabella Weatherby shares her vision for the collection, telling us over email, “The ‘Top of the Pops Capsule’ launches us back to the OG days of cargos and a ‘nice top’. The intersection of dressed up yet casual is something we often play with at Peachy Den and the late 90s early 00s trend of jeans or cargo pants with a ‘going out’ top was something we wanted to play with in this drop. We found videos on YouTube of groups like All Saints and Mis-Teeq as well as young artists like Billie Piper, Britney and Christina performing on Top of the Pops and it all came together.”
Back in the days when all you needed was a cute top and a pair of pants to go out, the new capsule is a range of Instagram-worthy tanks, camis and bralettes that perfectly capture the carefree and playful spirit of the early aughts. The Ruby One Shoulder Tank is adds instant edge to any basic outfit, while the Aria Cami is a subtly sultry option for nights out. The Serena Top offers more coverage with its long sleeves, boasting a flirtatious hem and halter tie straps. Elsewhere, the June Jumpsuit is an ultra-flattering ensemble, complete with buttons down the torso and a polo collar for a timeless and classic look.
Always sustainable and stylish, a majority of the collection has been carefully and consciously crafted with 100% naia, a sustainable option to the typical jersey. The Tops of the Pops Capsule is available on Peachy Den’s online store.
