Weekday Taps Swedish R&B Artist Cherrie for Latest Collab

A 13-piece capsule featuring outerwear, jeans, jewelry and more.

Weekday has joined forces with Swedish R&B star Cherrie for its latest capsule collection inspired by the ocean and aquatic life.

The collaboration, created together with the artist’s stylist Jahwanna Berglund, is comprised of 13 pieces and puts inclusivity and comfort first. It also uses sustainably-sourced materials for select garments and 100% organic cotton for jeans. Pieces include jeans with frayed hems running down the legs and cropped denim tops, as well as a dress with water graphics printed throughout.

“Me and my friends were never able to find jeans that fit. The closest we got was the old Cheap Monday jeans from Weekday. I had so many fittings during the design process until we nailed the Perfect Curve Jeans,” Cherrie shares in a press release. “As a Muslim, I’m very proud that the collection features modest fashion that still looks fire. It also felt good to rely on Weekday to ensure a certain level of sustainable thinking.” She adds: “I’m no political person, but with my background, everything I do is a statement. If I can push the culture forward by opening doors for my kickass creative fellow underdogs, why shouldn’t I?”

Peep the collection above. You can head over to Weekday’s website to shop the range from 6 p.m. CET (12 p.m. EST) on March 31.
