ROTATE Explores Duality in FW22 Collection

Mixing masculinity with femininity, and bodycon with oversized silhouettes.

Copenhagen-based fashion label ROTATE has unveiled its Fall/Winter 2022 collection.

Conceptualized by the brand’s creative directors Thora Valdimars and Jeanette Madsen, the range takes inspiration from the idea of dualism, exploring opposites including masculinity with femininity and bodycon with oversized silhouettes.

“We are both libras, so we have always been drawn to dualities, and we both love playing with feminine and masculine elements in our style,” Valdimars and Madsen shared in a press release. “This season, we wanted to weave our bold and sexy attitude into more sophisticated and masculine silhouettes. Altogether, the collection reflects our love of contrasts.” They added that the collection includes hints of Y2K influences through hip cut-outs and glittery fabrics.

Lace-up details dominate a brown leather set comprised of a cropped top, trousers and jacket. Elsewhere, the collection is highlighted with pops of blue and orange on bodysuits and slip dresses. The FW22 range is complete with a denim set and cow-print fit.
