Rachel Sennott and Kaia Gerber to Star in High School Sex Comedy, 'Bottoms'
The film will follow two queer teens who want to start a fight club.
A new high school sex comedy movie is on the way, which is set to star Rachel Sennott as the main character.
Directed by Emma Seligman, Bottoms will follow the story of “two unpopular queer girls in their senior year who start a fight club to try to impress and hook up with cheerleaders,” as per Deadline. The project will also include Kaia Gerber, Ayo Edebiri, Marshawn Lynch, Ruby Cruz, Havana Rose Liu, Nicholas Galitzine, Miles Fowler, Dagmara Dominczyk and Punkie Johnson in the cast.
“[I want] to see something with really shitty female characters who are just despicable in their actions in the way that we’ve seen a lot of male characters in raunchy comedies,” Seligman explains the inspiration behind the film. With a more “fun, more raunchy depictions of queer women,” the movie will commence production this spring. “We’ve gotten the conversion therapy story, the very cutesy story and others as well — I love a lot of those movies,” Seligman says.
Stay tuned while we wait for more details about Bottoms.
