Aries and FILA Team Up for a Celebration of Italian Heritage
A match made in heaven.
London-based streetwear label Aries has teamed up with sportswear brand FILA for a sailing-inspired, sportswear collaboration that pays tribute to the iconic Italian heritage of both labels.
Named “Vela Nera,” which translates to “Black Sail” in Italian, the collection fuses Aries’ grungy aesthetic with FILA’s signature colorways and propels its Italian influence to the forefront of each brand’s product offering.
Inspired by the Greek myth of Theseus and the Minotaur, the collection boasts sleek bandage dresses, contemporary sailing jackets and cut-out swimsuits, all in a variety of classic black and tie-dye prints inspired by Grecian marble. Ranging from £80 to £325 GPB (approximately $98 to $400 USD) , the offering also features a limited range of low and high top sneakers.
The collaboration with FILA comes shortly after Aries’ recent partnerships with the likes of Vans, Stüssy and New Balance and adds to the brand’s existing streetwear status. While FILA’s latest collaborations include Y/Project, Krost and a BTS capsule.
