Take a Look Inside Human Made's HBX-Exclusive Pop-Up in Hong Kong
Featuring a city-exclusive tram tee and the Japanese label’s Season 23 collection.
Human Made has joined forces with HBX to open its first-ever pop-up space outside of Japan. The store, opening its doors in Hong Kong on May 13, features NIGO‘s Season 23 collection as well as an exclusive tee highlighting the city’s iconic tram, also known as “Ding Ding.”
The space is located at BELOWGROUND, Landmark with lightboxes reading “HUMAN MADE” and “HBX” greeting visitors at the entrance. Spanning 2,000 square feet, the store features vintage mosaic floor tiling with Human Made’s heart logo in pixelated form. The installation space is filled with mannequins dressed in the recent collection, while the retail floor area houses home items such as heart logo rugs. Mid-century-style lounge chairs and a coffee table take center stage in the area which is surrounded by apparel and lifestyle merchandise for visitors to shop.
In addition to the tram tee, another exclusive design is set to make its debut at this pop-up space. NIGO teased in a conversation with HYPEBEAST: “It is the Year of the Tiger so I wanted a feline presence.” He additionally commented on his love for designing lifestyle pieces and expanding in areas such as food: “I love designing in everything that has to do with lifestyle — including food. Designing something involving urban living and community is my ultimate goal.”
