UPDATE (May 12, 2022): Following last week’s announcement, girl in red has finally released her newest music video directed by Euphoria star Hunter Schafer.

The visual for “hornylovesickmess” arrives one year after the musician dropped her debut album, if i could make it go quiet. girl in red comments on her collaboration with Schafer in a press release: “‘hornylovesickmess’ is one of my favorites off the album. Being able to make a video with Hunter for the album’s anniversary was so cool. We had so many ideas after the first time we hung out and it was cool to be with another creative in that way. it was also fun to be on set with her and get her vibe as a director.” In the clip, which marks Schafer’s directorial debut, girl in red is seen venturing through the city, levitating in the air.

ORIGINAL STORY (May 5, 2022): girl in red announced she will be dropping a music video directed by Hunter Schafer, proving there’s not much the Euphoria star can’t do.

The music video will be for her track “hornylovesickmess,” which if off her latest album, 2021’s If I Could Make It Go Quiet. The Norwegian artist took to social media to announce the news while sharing five behind-the-scenes photos, which include Schafer.

During an interview last year, the musician, whose real name is Marie Ulven, told us the pandemic made her want to focus more on creativity; perhaps that will be showcased in her upcoming video.

“I just want to put out a bunch of cool sh–t,” she said before dropping her LP. “I want to tell the stories of my songs in the best ways possible. If I can’t go touring, I’m going to find other cool ways to do that.”

As for Schafer, this music video will continue to prove to the world how talented she is. Not only is she known as a model, actor and writer-slash-producer (she helped co-write and produce a Euphoria Season 2 episode), but now also a director.

The music video for “hornylovesickmess” drops on May 12.
