Watch Harry Styles Experience a Gay Awakening in First Teaser Trailer for 'My Policeman'
The film is set in the 1950s.
The first teaser trailer for My Policeman has been released, and it shows Harry Styles, who plays the titular role, having a gay awakening.
The clip gives a glimpse into his character’s complicated relationships. Styles portrays Tom, a closeted gay cop married to a woman, played by Emma Corrin. The film, which is based on Bethan Roberts’ novel of the same name, takes place in the 1950s, which means Tom’s eventual affair with Patrick (David Dawson) is technically illegal.
My Policeman marks Styles first-ever leading role. Previously, Styles made his acting debut in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk, which was released in 2017. The singer-slash-actor is also starring in Olivia Wilde‘s upcoming psychological thriller, Don’t Worry Darling, which is set to release on September 23.
My Policeman is slated to hit theaters on October 21. The film will be available to stream on Prime Video starting November 4.
